Teaching Moment!!

This was Kaden's first attempt to mow the lawn, he has been wanting to do this forever and with the older kids he has never had the chance to do it. So today I thought it would be a great idea to start, my dad was up here and we told him to go show him how so off they went. He was so nervous for the hills but did it like a champ.

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!

Yesterday was Memorial Day since the ball games were cancelled due to rain we needed to find other things to do so Kaden and Shelby went swimming with Kaden's basball team and then we picked them up went up in the rain to put flowers on thier grandpa's grave and then decided to go to the movie, we saw "Ironman" the kids loved it, we are off today to go get Ironman actions figures for Zack. Then home for a indoor Picnic where we had steak etc. Shelby decided to try her cooking skills on some banana bread, it turned out great! She is such a good little cook soon maybe she will be taking on all the cooking around the house (wouldn't that be great). Kaden said it was the best banana bread that he had ever tasted.

BASEBALL, BASEBALL AND MORE BASEBALL!!

It seems like all we do is baseball Hunter and Kaden play on a super-league basball team, Shelby plays softball and loving it and Zack plays T-ball and is the star of the show. We absolutley love watching our kids play ball it is the highlight of our week it actually is our week. Thier is nothing like watching them love what they do.

Kaden is on a team named "The Crush, he also played at the Memorial Day Tournament and won every game and they made it to the championship round on Monday and then it got rained out so we won't see who wins that one until June 21st, the boys were not happy at all but they went swimming instead. Kaden's team has been doing really well they have played 19 games and has won 16 they are a fun team to watch. They will be playing in the Fire Cracker Tournament and they qualified for The triple crown world series in Steamboat Springs in July we are excited to go. Congratulations Kaden!

Hunter is on a team called the Highland Rebels that is new this year, he is having so much fun he has met alot of boys and seem to be getting along with all of them, they would be having more fun if they won a little more, "Hunter says" but I guess that is what you would have to expect from a new team. They played in the Memorial Day Tournament this past weekend and did very well on Friday and not so good on Saturday Oh well! they had fun.

ZACK'S BIG DAY!!

PRESCHOOL GRADUATION!!!!

Zack graduated from preschool this last week, it is always so much fun to see what they have learned all year and what they will do on the day of the program. Zack decided that he will not have a part but he will sing, he said to the teacher "I won't talk I will just sing" so that is what he did at least he sang, it was so much fun to watch. After the graduation I took him on a special graduation lunch he chose Arby's I was hoping for Applebee's but we went to Arby's, he felt so special that day. It just sunk in that he is my last preschooler and I have been really sad about it and I just wish that Zack would stay this age forever and never grow up and never leave to go to school we have so much fun at home everyday. On Wednesday's we have "movie day" this is when we watch movies and have popcorn and veg all day long and enjoy each other (also wash day, good excuse HUH!). In fact I love my kids ages now and I never want them to change..

The Pinewood Derby!!!!

After all discussion and research that was made by Justin and Kaden trying to find just the right design for his first Pine-wood Derby car the decision was made, they decided to make a "Crush car" (his baseball team). Everything went smoothly until the we put the writing on, which took me forever! Then he wanted to make it sparkle so we proceeded to spray on the glitter and there came the writing it all smeared, so off we go with the sanding again and painting again. Finally it was done and Kaden took 3rd place he was so proud.
