Merry Christmas!!!!!!!

Christmas was great! Christmas Eve we had a party with all kinds of good food, the kids were so excited for the next morning they wanted to go to bed, but we made them stay for the torture of reading stories, singing songs and playing games etc.

The most anticipated morning finally came and up they were at 7:30 to run to see what Santa had left and by no surprise they had been good all year, what a great day!

We love Christmas but it goes by to quickly, can't wait until next Christmas.

We also had a very WHITE CHRISTMAS which just added to the rest.

The kids had a blast Zack and Marisa got along with each other so well, here they had to go and get away for a little bit and watch a show that only they could watch. "Ice Age 2"

The boys went duck-hunting every day, this is thier trophy's for one of the days. They had a blast!!!!!!

Shelby and Melanie are the best of friends, they decided to go on a "4-Wheeler Adventure" and adventure it was, it took about 30 minutes just to get them ready for the weather and they were not cold when they came back!!!!
We had a really good time, we did several things Me and Chris relaxed, played games, sung and ate - ate - and cleaned up!!!!! That's really all we did and wanted to do minus the clean-up part.

9 Years old TODAY!!!

Dear Kaden,

Today you have been in our family for 9 years, you have been a joy to have around with your little crinkled up head and those little freckles on your nose that I love soooo much. You always have a smile on your face and you are passionate about every thing that you do, you are very talented and if you put your mind to something you will get it done. I love you with all my heart Kaden and I know when I am ever down you are always there to pick me up, you love everyone and are very sensitive to other people feelings and I love that about you. Kaden you always make me happy no matter what don't ever change, I am so proud of you and I am so glad that you are mine............

The Sweetest little 6 year old ever!!!!!!

Sunday we came home from church and we were sitting around the counter snacking and suddenly Zack said.

Zack: Mom, is there a job that I can do?
Mom: (thinking) you can go and clean your room!
Zack: OK! and he ran up the stairs with no hesitation and started working away for about 15 minutes.

I started thinking and asked Justin what they learned in primary today Justin couldn't remember either could Kaden or any of the other kids (that's really sad since we just got home). So Justin got his lesson book and looked it up and sure enough it was on helping and in the lesson it had a thing to do like help around the house and when your done leave a heart. So sure enough Zack finally came down and didn't say anything and when I went upstairs later there laying on the bed was a little note from him. I maybe had a little tear, skocker!!

Thanks Zack for being such a good boy and listening to lessons in Primary.

*notice the warm clothing I love this weather, except me in a coat I am always cold*

After the pumpkin-patch we came home and made carmel apples. YUM YUM YUM!

Costume Time!!!!!

Halloween fun with school-parties and buddies to trick-or-treat with. The kids had so much fun on halloween they look forward to halloween all year long. I'm not to keen on all the candy but kids have to be kids and at one time I tried to get the most candy too.
Shelby's friends! Their costumes were the hit at the school. Brylee, Shelby, Sadie, Sarah, McCall and Tieler. They really couldn't do anything with the boxes not even open their milk.

Zack's class, they are sooooo cute at that age.

Zack and Dallin trick-or-treating. Zack is iron-man and Dallin was NOT Batman he was a Bat!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!

Tis the Season.............

THE DEER AND DUCK HUNT HAS STARTED!!!!!!!

Justin went on the deer hunt with his buddies this week and came home with a prize for the boys to play with. Their is nothing they like better than the hunting season.

Now for the Duck hunt, these boys live in camoflouge at this time of year and also in a duck blind even when they are not hunting they are in the back yard, with their pretend guns and pretend ducks. They really actually call the ducks in with the duck calls and they think that the ducks are coming to land, I wonder what the neighbors think. I love kids imaginations and I love these cute boys.

HE DID IT!!!!

Justin has a hairless lip! Saturday it finally came off after 17 years I have been asking him forever to shave it off and him saying no when all it took was one of his young men to get his mission call and off it came, sad that Jordan had more influence then his wife did.

The kids and I have never seen him without his mustache, its a little hard to get used to but it's growing on us. The kids ran into the bedroom this morning and hurried and looked at him and said "Yep it still is off."

Now he looks more like the boys and exactly like Zack!! He has really been catching "flack" from everybody, but it is for a good cause.

The Circus!!

For Zack's birthday we surprised him and Kaden (the others knew the secret) and took them to the circus. Zack was so surprised he had no idea, we had a blast. It was hard to pick favorites but I think they were the elephants, the motorcycles and the horse and off course the treats.

FALL, FALL, FALL, FALL!!!!!!

The Fall is filled with bright colors and cold nights and alot of Football, Soccer and Baseball and other fun activitys to be had. We love the Fall and everything that goes with it. The trees are changing and the mountains are beautiful!!!!!!!

ACTIVITY DAYS! (Shelby)

Last week we took the Activity Day girls to Mutual Dell to play some games and to have roasted hot dogs. This was my last day with my girls we had a blast and I am going to miss them but there are more adventures for me with the young women.

As always BASEBALL!!!

This fall Kaden's team is playing against 10year olds on Saturdays, despite they all look like giants, the crush is holding there own they have won a few games. They are playing in a Monday league and they are playing against their own age and winning, "crushing" all the teams and having a blast.

Safe at first. WEW!
Only 8 year olds can make sandcastles while they are warming up another pitcher.

They were playing a game that they were coming back from a some points they were down so they all put on their rally-caps, even the dads. They ended up losing by 2 but played and cheered hard.

SOCCER!

Last Tuesday was Zack's last soccer game, he loves soccer and does pretty good when he is focused they had a really good team, they were all boys and one girl and usually killed all the other teams so they had to play just 3 kids instead of 4 sometimes. It fun to watch the little boys.

Zack and Clayton waiting patiently for their game to start.
Zack getting to "hopefully" make a goal.

Canning, Canning and more Canning!!!!

Today is Friday and since our kids are in school now and Justin has friday's off from work we get creative with projects or I do and I am not sure why I do the things I do and drag Justin into the mix of things. Last week we decided or I decided to change the color on our front door to black to match the new roof so I mentioned it to Justin and with some little excuses of why it isn't a good ideal, we started the project and a project it was, but in all looks great. This week I decided to mention canning and Justin again had a few reasons why we shouldn't do it and being the sport that he is, we were off on a mission. We found peaches and rasberries and little baby cucumbers and this is the ending result. I am so proud of my dear husband for being a sport and going along with my wild adventures because I know there is nothing that he would rather do then to stay home with me all day and cook. NOT!!! I love you Justin!!!!!!!

Tomorrow we are going to do grape juice and pears, but he doesn't know that yet! I will mention that in the morning. Ha Ha!!

The Big Hunt!!!!

This morning we woke up to the kids in full camo and playing that they were hunting different animals and going on these special hunts together. You can always tell when it is getting close to the bow hunt Justin and Hunter starts getting out their bows and practicing in the back yard. Kaden and Zack really want their own bows like Justin and Hunter's but they will have to share for now and in a couple years they will be big enough to get their own.

Kaden and Zack love to play hunting with each other, they would do this everyday if they could.

They even got on the internet and ran off pictures to put on the target so it looked like they were really going on these special hunts.

Justin and I were the cook's at the resturant while they were hunting, after they were done hunting they came in and ordered bisquits and gravy, bacon and orange juice.

Yes! I made homemade gravy, we actually got the recipe from Paula on the food network. She is my favorite. It turned out great.

Justin and I have decided that we are going to miss these special times when they get older and don't know how to stop the aging process. We were discussing if there was a special potion to keep them young forever.
